Despite the fact that according to different ratings the profession of a doctor is among the most responsible, hard and emotionally exhausting, now in Ukraine the financing of this industry leaves much to be desired. Funds are allocated for medical equipment and medicines, but not for comfortable working conditions.
“A doctor is the person to whom we usually come when we feel bad. We are waiting for advice and salvation, we share the most painful things, and often do not even think about what the doctor feels. Did he have a rest or did he eat, in what conditions is he on call? Therefore, I am deeply convinced that the comfort of working conditions, the availability of banal and necessary things – a microwave oven, a TV, a laptop – affect not only the doctor himself, but also his patients,” – says philanthropist Ihor Khodak.
Only during 2019 the philanthropist gave several modern TV sets, a satellite dish and TV tuners, a microwave oven, building materials for repair and others to the medical institutions of the region.
“We provide charitable assistance in many areas, but medicine is the industry that always needs funding, so we always support medical institutions,” – said Ihor Khodak.
